Naschmarkt, Pechschwarz
Austrian musician Naschmarkt invited us to craft an audio-reactive visualizer for their debut single “pechschwarz” (“pitch black”).
To capture the track’s moody atmosphere, we built a system driven by a physarum growth algorithm, inspired by the organic behaviour of fungal networks. The result is a slow, atmospheric visual that continually evolves in response to the music.
Individual audio stems were mapped to specific behaviours within the simulation, allowing the piece to shift and morph over time. This created a living visual environment that mirrors the track’s intensity, texture, and progression.
