Hakkoda

Hakkoda, a modern data and AI consultancy that helps enterprises migrate, manage, and scale cloud data platforms, approached us to create an elevated brand film for their website. The goal was to update and refresh their existing visual messaging while strictly adhering to their established brand guidelines. Crucially, the film needed to reflect Hakkoda's recent acquisition by IBM, meaning we had to strategically weave in elements of IBM’s iconic design language so the final piece could seamlessly slot into the broader IBM ecosystem.

We bridged these two distinct design worlds by blending Hakkoda’s tech-forward, abstract aesthetic with IBM's bold, structured identity. Using geometric 3D shapes and dynamic motion design, we translated complex data solutions into a playful, visually engaging narrative. The result is a sophisticated CG film that respects Hakkoda's roots while confidently stepping into its new chapter under the IBM umbrella.

Rnd and Look Development

To align with the pre-established IBM Motion Design language while injecting Hakkoda's unique identity, we integrated their distinct brand colors into a distinctly tech-forward aesthetic.

We then developed a grid-based system governed by simple rules, ensuring the entire world felt structured, technical, and cohesive.

For the “Hakkoda City” shot, our goal was to represent the diverse industries Hakkoda’s clients operate in through a playful, slightly abstract lens.

We made the scene feel alive and busy to emphasize the energetic, fast-moving environment of modern tech landscapes.
